Hello, I’m Jacek
I am a PhD Candidate in Economics in the IDEA PhD Program at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Barcelona School of Economics (BSE).
My research interests lie in Applied Microeconomics, Migration, Family and Labor Economics.
In my job market paper, I investigate the effect of labor market conditions on immigrants’ location and marriage choices. Using a structural model approach, I evaluate how regional wage differences and immigrant income gap affect marital patterns among immigrants.
I am on the job market 2022-2023.
I apply structural models to answer questions in Migration, Labor, and Family economics.
My research concentrates on labor market consequences for immigrants' marital patterns.
I investigate determinants of marriage choices among immigrants.
My analyses focus on how the immigrant income gap and regional wage differences impact marital patterns.
